We still had a "dead-zone" so I am now using the old Lynksys as a 2nd router that is hard-wired (100' ethernet cable) to the new Netgear AC1750 -- Had to disable DHCP & MAC filtering on the lynksys and it now serves as a secure wifi extension off my new Netgear AC1750.
